I was hand-holding the 70mm VistaVision 4 perf. camera (really) on the collision scenes involving the cruise ship, other craft and skiers. Most of the time I was balancing this monster on a taught sailing harness shackled to the bow whilst standing up in the Boston Whaler whilst the helmsman was darting under the bow of the ship at the time of impact. I also operated on the shots (on solid ground) with the cruise ship smashing into Marigot dock and through the town square. My boat was at anchor in Oyster Pond (luckily). |
