Peter Heath MBACP
Southampton Counsellor & Psychotherapist

A bit about me: I've lived and worked all over our planet: in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Bath, Sint Maarten, Bermuda, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Hong Kong, the Outer Hebrides and Harare.

I've also spent many years living at sea in a small boat sailing between Africa, New York, the Caribbean and Venezuela. I've crossed the Atlantic ocean more than a dozen times.

What does this mean for you?

It means I've seen an awful lot of stuff. I can take anything you can throw at me.

And right now I'm here to help you in whatever way you want. Really.

"Experience is, for me, the highest authority. The touchstone of validity is my own experience. No other person´s ideas, and none of my own ideas, are as authoritative as my experience. It is to experience that I must return again and again, to discover a closer approximation to truth as it is in the process of becoming me."
Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person: A Therapist's View of Psychotherapy
